You will ensure that absenteeism within House of Work remains as low as possible, is enforced and administered in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Description of duties and responsibilities

  • Implementation of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act and ERD.
  • Direct follow-up in the event of sick leave and emergencies in the workplace
  • Assessment of individual absenteeism and systematic approach to the absenteeism process
  • Maintaining contact with fellow Account Managers and Job Coaches regarding the temporary worker in order to obtain a complete picture of the situation and initiate a targeted and appropriate approach
  • Drawing up an action plan (and any adjustments) for employees who are unfit for work.
  • Building absence files and conducting evaluation interviews.
  • Working closely with company doctors, occupational experts, occupational health and safety services and case managers. Where necessary, maintaining contact with the in-house solicitor.
  • Forwarding incoming feedback and agreements to job coaches and account managers and following the advice of the company doctor.
  • Monitoring the absence process and ensuring a good relationship with the absent employee.
  • Responsible for administrative processing and updating files at the UWV.
  • Managing the UWV portal with regard to daily wage applications, sick leave notifications and pregnant employees.
  • Drawing up and implementing departmental objectives.

  • Organisational and communication skills: Accurate planning and organisation of the Absenteeism Policy in close consultation with employees from across the organisation.
  • Discretion and confidentiality: Handling personal and sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Accuracy: Attention to detail, thoroughness, consistency, responsibility and analytical skills.
  • Problem-solving skills: The ability to solve problems with sensitivity and empathy in a friendly but clear manner.

You are a responsible and empathetic colleague who communicates clearly and pleasantly. You speak several languages, including Polish and English, and preferably a third language such as Dutch. You believe it is important to speak to employees in a warm and understanding manner when they report sick. You know how to strike the right balance between personal attention and clear explanations about the process. You work accurately and ensure that the administrative processing runs smoothly. In addition, you are flexible and don't mind starting early, so that our employees can be reliably assisted from 6 a.m. onwards.
