Must see in the Netherlands!

We can go out again! After almost 2 years of ban on amusement parks, events, restaurants, cinemas, gyms, a bizarre period has come to an end. Many of our readers have been in the Netherlands for less than two years. Perhaps you also belong to this group and you have not been able to see much of the Netherlands in the time you have been in Holland. Are you ready to see some Dutch culture? A real Must See in Holland is the Keukenhof!

A real Must See in the Netherlands: Keukenhof!
In 1949, a group of leading flower bulb growers and -exporters came up with the plan to create an exhibition of spring blooming flowers on an estate. In 2022, the 73rd edition will take place. The park will feature 7 million spring-flowering bulbs, real Dutch windmills and more than 20 different flower shows.

Besides the fact that you can walk around in the park, it is also possible to make a boat trip through the flower fields or rent a bike or tandem (bike for 2 persons; see picture below text) and cycle through the park. It can't get any more Dutch than that! It is also possible to book a guided tour (in Dutch, English, German or French) with a guide who will tell you about the history, the theme, the various planting techniques, the inspiration gardens, the windmills and various flower shows.

Children are also thought of. There is a playground, a maze and an animal pasture. Feeling hungry or thirsty? In the park you will find several restaurants and mobile eating places.

Keukenhof is easily accessible by car but also by public transport. There is a Keukenhof Express Bus which drops you off and picks you up at the main entrance to the Keukenhof. You can plan your trip very easily with the 9292 travel planner.

Are you excited and curious to visit the Keukenhof? Then plan your visit quickly! Tickets only online.
The Keukenhof can only be visited until Sunday 15 May.
The good news is that they are open 7 days a week from 08:00 - 19:30 and there are still plenty of tickets available on all days!
